    Give the Spurs credit for locking up "the best shooting backcourt ever" after the first two games. Hard to believe Klay actually scored 29 in the first half of game 2. Spurs put an end to that.

    Curry is the best shooter in the league and an exciting player for other reasons also. He's probably the only shooter in the league that's better than Lillard.

    I'm looking forward to Memphis - SAS. Those two play basketball how it is meant to be played. Definitely two top 5 basketball teams that actually know how to play as a team.

    Yes, I'm guessing the Golden-State loving was a pipe-dream. Earlier in the playoffs I envisioned them going Detroit Pistons and shocking the world, sadly it didn't happen.

    I agree, but the only exceptions to "basketball how it is meant to be played" are Tony Parker constantly torpedoing into the lane to draw contact and Manu's euro-steps and dramatics. That shit killed me the last time we played them in the playoffs.

    Those people who say these teams are boring? Have you seen Tony Parker? Manu Ginobili? Mike Conley? Tony Allen?

    Lillard isn't THAT good! And actually, neither is Curry. It's not that Curry is "the best shooter" - I can think of several players who would almost certainly beat him in a game of HORSE (including possibly Luke Babbitt) - it's that he's a killer combination of shot creation, accuracy and quick release. In other words, he's (nearly) the best at the combination of getting-and-making shots. Iverson was probably the king of getting shots, he was just inefficient at making them. Ray Allen is probably still a better shooter than Curry, but he's not a great shot-creator.

    The only player who is probably better than Curry at that combination is Kevin Durant. Helps to be 6'10".

    What about Steve Nash? This year wasn't very good, but he's put up 50/40/90. Though Curry can create more easily for himself, Nash's percentages were insane.

    Lots of memphis/spurs hate and I personally can't grasp it. This seems like a very entertaining matchup were you have a very gritty and touch defensive team in Memphis vs a Spurs team that is really a jack of all trades team. The spurs can shoot, can put up huge numbers on offense as well as have a coach who can come up with ways to take away what teams really want to do on offense.
    The spurs and their evil genius coach will try and force memphis to play a certain way while memphis is going to try and force the spurs to play their way. Who will blink first pop or hollins?

    Curry is better than either. Hes second all time in career 3 pt FG%. Only Kerr is ahead, and he played a few years with a shorter line and obviously got mostly good, spot up looks. Curry's career 3 pt FG% is 44.6%, Ray Allen has only sniffed that over a single season late in his career with Boston when he was a 4th option feeding off of Rondo, Pierce, and KG. Ray's great off screens and getting free off the ball but the degree of difficulty on Curry's shots are much more difficult. A lot more 3's off the dribble, a lot more VERY deep/difficult 3's. You're right about the release and shot creation, but consider how much more difficult that makes his attempts, yet his 3 pt FG%'s blow theirs out of the water.

    And I missed the conversation on Sam Presti but I still think hes a premier GM, you guys are just begging for a reason to trash the Thunder.

    Perkins looks like shit, but the move was made at the time because the road to the finals ran through Bynum and the Lakers. Things have changed since then, but they still have the amnesty if they need it. The Durant pick was a no brainer, but he nailed the Westbrook pick and that was a bit of a shocker at the time, nailed the Harden pick, found Ibaka late in round 1, drafted Maynor and Reggie Jackson with late picks. Who has a better track record in the draft in the last several years? Thats a pretty incredible run. Hes gotten some nice bargain basement pickups on guys who were cast away from previous teams in Sefolosha and Thabeet.

    Hes getting trashed for the Harden trade but what else was he supposed to do? They couldn't keep all three and Ibaka. I think they'd be just as screwed without Westbrook as they would be without Harden. They were still the best regular season team in the west and the favorite to get to the finals no?
