This is total bullshit, I wouldn't expect Damian to get involved in a (likely drunken) fight, even to stop it, and I wouldn't want him to. That could easily turn out way worse in many ways.
They have to claim Lillard instigated it or they can't sue him. The Posse doesn't have any money. It makes it hard on who to believe. It always comes down to money.
I hope this doesn't hurt our mojo or karma for the draft lottery tomorrow night! Damian is our representative! But seriously - this isn't great news but it's not that big of deal, either. Like VanillaGorilla said, at least he was smart enough to stay out of the fight.
Is Armon Johnson still available? How about Taureen Green? I'm still waiting for those four wins we were promised.
Thank God this happened before he was fooled into thinking Portland's media and fans don't actually seethe with barely-contained hatred for EVERYONE, just waiting for an excuse to lash out with lip clucking, pearl clutching, and sanctimony. Now he'll have no guilt when he demands a trade to the Lakers.
"I'm a victim! I'm a victim! I started a fight with a total stranger and he didn't let me win! WHAAAAAAAH!!!!"
I guess we should probably wait to find out the details, but it sounds like maybe some of his leeches are a little overzealous ... Hopefully he's able to figure out a way to live his life without having a bunch of "boat anchors" drag him down.
Most people mistakenly think only the people who were their friends before they were rich have their best interests in mind, when in reality, the ratio probably doesn't change much before to after. The danger here is he may cling to his "true friends" tighter instead of recognizing. Maybe Gary Payton can teach him more than defense.
