Well, Mr. clangus, Scottie Pippen and Patrick Ewing did not win NBA Season MVP awards in their era (which was just a few years ago) because they had people outshining them, but they still seemed like players who were well deserving for the MVP title.Scottie Pippen was a three-time All-NBA First Team selection {1994, 1995 and 1996}. Also, even MJ knows that without Pippen, the Bulls would not have won 6 championships.Patrick Ewing... Umm... he was in the All-NBA First Team only in 1990, but he still had a Hall-of-Fame career.

I can cop Eweing, as he led his team to many a playoff apearance. But Pippen? Am I the only one who thinks that he was only so good because he got to play with MJ?
