in summation (I'm behind the times) is it hope of Trading up for Oladipo (Wes & #10 to Charlotte) or trade out?

We need to find a way to acquire Oladipo while retaining Wesley Matthews.
TBH, I'm not sure we can do that. but I think that have to be the plan.
If we selected one of the injured bigs Olshey might get run out of town for that...

That would really be ideal because against most teams in this league Wes can get minutes at SF as well. When the rotation gets smaller in the playoffs, (And yes eventually we will get there) I would love a Nic, Wes, and Oladipo trio of wings.

But I am not sure how we can get it done either.

Im sure somebody would bite on #10 and the Greek to move up

I would be shocked if somebody took that.

I would also be surprised (but not necessarily shocked) if Oladipo drops out of the top 3. Then again, that's how I felt about Thomas Robinson, and we all know how that turned out...

I would think he is top 3 as well if it weren't for Washington having that pick.
I assume since they need a SF and Porter played at Georgetown.........

Unless you think Noel or McLemore will drop.

Why would people be shocked if our Greek would be enought to move up some spots? The mavs could want him for #13 too, so #10 & 13 may allow us to move up.

Kostas was the euro rising star this year and would be a for sure first rounder this yr. Im not sure why people think it couldnt happen.

I just assume that teams will draft BPA--but you're right, that's not always the case. Orlando's the only top-3 team that didn't take a SG in the top 4 last year, so it does stand to reason that either Oladipo or McLemore will drop to 4 this year, but no further. Orlando will take one, and Charlotte the other (IMO).

So I'll amend my statement: I would be surprised (but not necessarily shocked) if Oladipo drops out of the top 4.

Because I'm a Blazer fan, and I'm used to disappointment. I wouldn't know how to respond if an asset we got for nothing ended up being something valuable.

man this is really embarrassing... kinda like when I had to ask what RLEC was lol. What Greek are people talking about?

Sounds like DJ Stephens from Memphis is a crazy athlete and was somewhat impressive in that atheliticism at the Nets Combine Workout today

D.J. Stephens just jumped over the entire media table without even trying seemingly. Thought my laptop was done for but he made it look easy

Stephens hasn't shown much of a skill-level, bricking a couple of shots badly, but he's had some great blocks and rebounds. Amazing athlete.

Someone might draft D.J. Stephens just for the sheer entertainment value in practice. Just fouled someone's head with the back of his knee

We've added measurement and athletic testing data from the first day of the Nets Combine: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre...DESC&draft=0&pos=0&source=Nets Workout&sort=5 … - Holy Stephens...

That is the highest vertical ever recorded (although doubt you could call it official).

There was a guy (also from Memphis) a while back who was a crazy athlete - he used to jump ball for them even though he was a small forward. He went on to play for the Globetrotters. This must've been in the 90s. Anyone remember?

Stephens no-step is nearly identical to Oden and his max reach is higher than Shaq's.

Wow wah we wah.

Thanks! That's the guy - Michael Wilson:

Michael Wilson is a former player of the Harlem Globetrotters and the University of Memphis, also known as 'Wild Thing'.
Wilson, 6'5, holds the world record for the highest dunk.[citation needed] On April 1, 2000, Wilson dunked a basketball on a goal set at 3.65m (12 feet) from the floor; the feat placed him in the Guinness Book Of World Records, and broke a previous record held by former Arizona State University basketball star Joey Johnson, the younger brother of former NBA great Dennis Johnson. However, Wilt Chamberlain was also known to have performed the feat on an experimental basket set up by Phog Allen at the University of Kansas in the 1950s.[1] Chamberlain, unlike Wilson, did not have the advantage of being given an alley oop. In 2001 the record (3.65m) was repeated by Robertas Javtokas from Lithuania during a local All Stars day.
Michael Wilson played high school basketball at Melrose High School in Memphis, Tennessee. The Texarkana Gazette reported that he had a 52-inch vertical leap.
In 1995 he was a starter on the University of Memphis Tiger basketball team that went to the Sweet 16 under coach Larry Finch.

Apparently Noel Laos A LOT of weight since the injury.

At the time of the injury he was 225 lbs.

As a HS-er he weighed 218 at the Hoop Summit.
