Re: 2013 Official NBA Off-season Movement & Rumors

It would definitely take one of Thompson or Barnes to get him. Is Klay/Barnes, Bogut, and one of Festus/Draymond enough? Once Utah uses our draft pick we can start throwing in 1st rounders too.

Dwight being double down low with Curry (and Klay?) on the perimeter would be tough for any team. Lee seems like a pretty good fit next to Howard and apparently he can shoot 3's, he just chooses not to take them in games.

This whole rumor has started an interesting debate among GS fans regarding who they'd prefer to keep long term between Klay and Barnes. I really kind of fell in love with Klay late this season. His statline is typically not very impressive but you watch the guy play and you can't help but like him. Plays his ass off on defense, can do a little bit of everything, of course he spaces the floor really well, etc. That said, Barnes showed some big time flashes in the POs and looks like he can develop into a guy who can get a good look on any possession. As good as Curry and Klay are, they don't get to the rim much and they don't have much of an answer in situations where they need to get the ball and get a high % look.

Klay is much less replaceable than Barnes. Barnes is Mr. Average. Every team has one: he's the Trevor Ariza. Thompson, on the other hand, is a rare combination of elite shooter (and not just spot up, because all Arizas shoot spot up threes) and surprisingly solid defenders. Thompson oozes class.

That's a good point. Of course it isn't because Jackson is black, just that he is a strait shooter with loads of experience. He also survived the NY fans, so he should be able to take on anything.

I'd love that! Anything to make a division rival weaker. Get him out of Denver and let him go to Toronto where he will be irrelevant.

Denver lacks the Turkish community that Toronto has.

If that were true... lakers would have no chance. Houston better team and system and players.

I'd be more confident of Oladipo being a contributor over Lamb, personally, but can see the value there of getting 2 for the priceof one, basically. I just think Oladiopo's motor and defense will transfer over better than Lamb's lack of motor and offense first.

Would you do Houston a favor and take Lin off their hands for a future 2nd?

Re: 2013 Official NBA Off-season Movement & Rumors

I would. IMO his best role is a backup. He is also big enough to play alongside Lillard. Talent wise, we'd be robbing HOU. However....

His contract is a bit expensive when you consider his likely role in Portland. He was also atrocious in the playoffs.

The no-brainer here is Asik. That's who you go after.

Iv heard nothing good about Lamb coming from OKC. Seems like he disappears during practices and has had a real problem competing for playing time. Would much much much much much rather have Olapido then Lamb and whoevers at 12.

Agreed that you go after Asik. I would only take Lin if it also netted us Asik.

With Asik I'd deal LMA for DMC.

Asik is the ideal big to pair with Cousins.

I wonder if there is a way we could swing a big deal with Houston to get them enough capspace to make a run at both CP3/Howard. Would need to be a 3 team deal but they have a lot of assets that would be nice to have Asik/Robinson/Parsons/Jones

Never really been a fan of starting two C's together. You can play DMC at the 4 but his game is really more of a centers and a team with a stretch four would cause us to have nightmares on the D.
