New gloves on the way? [update: confirmed]

    Dana White revealed that the UFC is working on a new standard glove with curved fingers that will help reduce eye-pokes and scratches. It is modeled after the glove used in PRIDE. Hopefully they use this in combination with stricter tolerance for repeat offenders.

    Dana White confirmed that the UFC is working on new gloves but said they will resemble Shooto style not Pride.

    I think the glove below is a sparring glove and the UFC one will have the typical 4-oz padding.
