A lot of money thats for sure. But hey if it will save us from paying Fields 7 mil/year, I'm all for it
Doesn't count against the cap so pay the man. We'll look foolish if he only met with us in order to increase his bargaining position with the Nuggets but from the sounds of it Denver is not going to come close to matching our offer. One "insider" said we were offering him double.
As per Woj and Lowe, Ujiri is incited by "challenge" that Toronto will offer, AKA fix this mess of a roster. Not to mention the extra couple million per year.
It would seem that the longer this drags out the better chance that Uriji is negotiating with the Nuggets to stay.
Ujiri is meeting with Denver today and will make his decision based on their counteroffer. It isn't expected to approach Toronto's financially.
I mean its got to be above average for a GM, considering we're still paying BC a ton of money. And a pretty long guaranteed contract (means guaranteed money). The only thing I can use to justify the time its taking is, if it was me, I would want to take my time especially since MU basically built that Nuggets team into a contender after Carmelo handcuffed them. However, I agree, its taking a long time.
