There's an old adage that if you are whipped/subservient at home, then you're a jerk/demanding out in the world...and visa versa. Is that generally a truism?
Never heard that before but don't think it is true. As I see it, if you are a jerk and demanding with your S/O, you are probably a jerk and demanding in public.
I don't think masochism in the bedroom has any connection to sadism in the boardroom. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Actually, this kind of stuff used to be discussed quite frequently around the proverbial water-cooler back in my corporate days...
I think there's some truth to it. When I was young everyone told my mother what a great kid I am and she couldn't understand it because I acted terrible at home, making everyone miserable...
Don't mind me tonight. I'm displaying jerkish behavior. Today, my Mom told me what a nice youngerly man I am.
I've never heard that adage, by the way. Typically the jerks at work and in the world are jerks at home, too, at least that's been my experience. Type A all around, or Type B with severe anger issues.
Why do guys allow themselves to be whipped at home? The only way I would subject myself to being "whipped" was if I had a sugar mama
