All signs point to 'bowl eligible', but even if not, it won't be more than one year, and won't affect recruiting next year if the NCAA finally decides on this bogus case.
Is it possible to leave the NCAA? Utah State, San Jose State, San Diego State, Boise State, Brigham Young, Fresno State. Boom.
Actually I was thinking more along the lines of Texas, Oklahoma, OK St, etc. If that Big 12 merger had happened, I think we could have easily left the NCAA and stood on our own. Fuck the NCAA and fuck the SEC. They can have each other.
In today's global mass media society with the internet, TV, etc, I don't think the NCAA is necessary anymore. Fuck em. If you have a strong enough group of teams, you could leave and have your own championship. Let ESPN figure out who the best team in the country is (they pretty much do anyway).
Looks like Mississippi State had a hearing the same day as the Ducks and they got their penalties handed down yesterday. Maybe we will finally know what penalties the Ducks face very soon so we can move on.
Monday, they give their lesser penalty to M-state on friday to avoid the news then Hammer Oregon with the full work week ahead to distract others from the M-state ruling.
