Watching the Nuggets try to play defense would be a hoot.

I can't say I've watched much of Denver, and I think Karl is a good coach, but I think maybe it was time for a new face. He's actually been there for a while.

Avery Johnson was fired after being coach of the previous month. This also demonstrates why awards should be voted for after the post season.

It would be ironic if both teams do worse after trading coaches. And I love irony.

Re: OT: George Karl out as Denver coach

The brand new Executive of the Year and Coach of the Year. A record. When the Sonics fired brand new EotY Bob Whitsitt, they didn't fire Karl.

Best post so far. Those two are now in line for reduced minutes, to increase McGee's. Then follow irrational posts about McGee becoming more available.

Until you rep my brilliance, your praise is nothing but empty words.

Saying you're the best of the worst isn't praise. If I ever repped anyone, I'd consider you right now before laughing it off, so hold up your chins and feel proud.

With "veterans" like crybaby Andre Miller, I'm sure Karl is glad to be gone.

This idiot thinks he should be starting over Ty Lawson. Hahaha!

Plus, no wonder the team flamed out against GS, when Miller had already thrown in the towel before the All-Star break.

I note he didn't mention that you can't win a play-off series with Andre Miller as your starting PG.

The ironic part is that one of the knocks on Karl was that he played Miller too many minutes...

Reminds me of this Spoelstra quote from when Karl won COY -

    Odd...

Funny Miller talks about needing that marquee player to advance. First, he has never advanced and should accept his role. Second, that marquee player would probably want a teammate that could hit an open shot.

He should be very happy that he got the contract from Denver that paid as much as it did considering his age.

Are any of those coaches even a fraction as good as Karl? The rumor here is that Karl was being a pain in the ass because they let Ujiri go.

This is all personal and has little to do with basketball.

Those comments from Dre are disappointing. If we would have kept him, could you imagine the friction that would exist on this team with the minutes we play Lillard?

There's a huge conflict between Josh Kroenke (Stan's son) and Pete D'Alessandro on one side and Ujiri and Karl on the other. We saw what happened to Ujiri, is it any surprise what happened to Karl? As for which side to take, of the two sides, which one was more responsible for the success of the team?

It is great for Blazer fans. Hopefully we can benefit from this since it seemed Ujiri always made the right moves. He has his work cut out for him with the hand he was dealt in Toronto.
