The two best Centers that has played with Knicks. Weing lead his team to the championship 2 times but didnt suceed at winning one of the 2. Willis on the other hand won the Knicks 2 titles. But who had a better career?Who was the better player for the Knicks?Who is better?

Willis! Careers are generally defined by winning! While Pat kept the knick contenders for over a decade he never won. Willis did. Remember him coming in to play when he was injured? Inspired the whole team to victory! I think he only scored 4points that game too. He was an amazing leader!By the way Pinoy I love your Past/present/future sig 10/10

I chose PAt mainly becuase of his legacy. Willis had mainly 2 teams that were tough the Celtics/Lakers. While Pat had Shaq,MJ,Houston,San Antonio those teams arent close to the 70s Celtics,Lakers, But there were more problems. We had to find a way to stop jordan, find a way to stop Duncan,Robinson but Pat wasnt there. He had to go up against Olajuwan,Shaq so he had alot of problems. Willis had Clyde and Pearl

I pick Ewing because he lead his team to the championship round without as much help as Willis:Willis had:Walt FrazierDave DeBusschereBill BradleyPhil JacksonJerry Lucas(i think all hall-of-famers)Ewing had:Mark JacksonJohn StarksCharles OakleyXavier McDanielLatrell SprewellLarry Johnson(none of these guys are hall-of-famers)I think I proved my point well.

i wasn't around to truly appretiate what willis reed has done. i know that he was a great player and all but to actually experience his legacy and see him play live and watching him every year on tv is important to me. i wish i could've seen game 7 of the 1970 finals in person and see how loud the crowd got when he walked out of the tunnel limping with a broken ankle. not to sound cheesy but i'd probably cry if i saw that.on the other hand, i was around when patrick was playing so i appretiate what he has done for ny. he gave his heart and soul to the orange and blue but unfortantely thanks to #23 he never got that ring he soley deserved. he brought basketball back to the garden when he came out of georgetown. he played with a great group of guys in the early 90's that played great defense.i could go either way on this but i'm gonna say patrick ewing because i saw him play and got a better feel for him as a player. since i wasn't born when willis played all i have of him is game 7 of the 1970 finals on the knicks dvd and some highlight reels. i've been watching patrick my whole life.

Patrick Ewing was the better scorer. Willis was the better defender, rebounder, and leader.I dont know who I'd pick. It depends what kind of player I was looking for at the pivot.

I just want to say that I love Patrick Ewings and the Knicks teams he played on. He was one amazing player and unfortunatly he seems like one that will be forgotten. He deserved a ring but like Malone had to go up against Jordan. [IMG] It's unfortunate. I haven't seen Willis so I can't really pick one.
