I thought it was interesting that Dave Grohl choose to play drums instead of guitar and sing.

He's a drummer first, and how can you not play drums when you're covering Zeppelin... the band with the greatest drummer in rock!

I know he was the drummer in Nirvana but he also honored Paul McCartney a few years back at the Kennedy Center and he sang and played guitar for that. Who wouldn't want to cover Ringo, lol.

He actually does a good job.

Speaking of Ringo it's funny how his crappy drum solos have become so iconic that no one bothers to improve on them, they always imitate them.

A side note: Foo Fighters' cover of Band on the Run is awesome.

Everything here sucks. Tha British Invasion of the 70s was a pale imitation of the same in the 60s.

Reminds me of what people say about the Beatles. There have been many groups and singers who do Beatles songs and arguably sung better and more pure than the Beatles.

But there was so much more to the Beatles than just how good the song sounds. Feel the same way about Heart doing Led Zeppelin songs. It is a real tribute to Led Zeppelin and Heart deserves a tip of the hat . . . but for those who were moved and shaped by Led Zeppelin and that time period in music, there really is no replacing Led Zeppelin.

That was a great version of Stairway to Heaven, but in no way replaces Led Zeppelin's version. Forget who sings it better, Led Zeppelin and that song defined a time period in music and life for many.

It's like a modern physics professor giving a lecture on relativity, after Denny recounts to us what he felt when Albert Einstein stepped up to the podium. The new guy can't replace that roomful of electricity.

By the way, I was always underwhelmed by Led Zeppelin. Everything besides the 60s sucked.

Nah, you like good old Rock N Roll. Denny likes elevator music and Zamfir, Master of the Pan Flute.

If she'd lose 80 pounds, she could become my biggest fan. How come the cute sister's always silent? Does the fat one beat her up?

Another band that defined my time in high school.

High school was only 4 yrs, strange how influential that short time period can be.

20 times, wow. I was a concert going junkie and can't say I've seen a band 20 times. I've seen the Stones 9 times. My favor group to see in concert was Pink Floyd . . . 4 times. Never was a dead head, but I'm guessing they have seen the Grateful Dead even more than 20 times.
