Well I don't go off and kill a motherf*cker if that is what you mean Mar.

Most of these bother me yet I don't say anything. Perhaps I should say something though. None of them (or something similar) bother you?

The sushi "chef" who cuts raw meat off of sea food? Seems more like a prep cook to me. A chef actually makes more than raw food for you.

I'm half-Italian. My maternal grandparents are from Italy. I was raised in a household that used a spoon to spool pasta. Anybody who cuts their pasta with a fork looks like an amateur to me. It doesn't bother me, per se, but I have to laugh at it.

Oh, you guys are considering California rolls to be 'sushi'. To me, sushi is some raw slabs of seafood, some white rice cold, and wasabi and soy for taste. If you mean rolls, then yes, it should be tasted before seasoning it with sauces.

That and talking with your phone to your ear in the car. There are ways to drive much safer while using your phone.

You just don't get Japanese food. It's steeped in respect and tradition.

That makes no sense. Spoons for spaghetti? What? You have no fucking clue about Italian food, just as I have no clue about sushi etiquette, other than I don't consider rolls to be 'sushi'.

Comparing a good sushi chef to a prep cook is really insulting. Doing something simple perfectly is a skill. As El prez said It's all about tradition. And i don't think anyone here claimed sushi = rolls. Give me a plate of maguro, sake, toro and salmon belly sashimi and I'll be a happy camper

Well, sorry, but that's pretty much my take on it. It's mostly about the seafood. I've had great sushi and terrible sushi. Nothing the guy cutting the fish off the carcass could have changed my experience.

Watching someone getting out of a bathroom only to sit down on a warm toilet seat.

Getting upset at people for how they eat things is pretty ridiculous. Wasabi and soy sauce taste great together on a bunch of sushi. You get annoyed that people like the taste of something you don't think is cool?

El Prez would not be a fun person to go out with.

I'm awesome to go out with.

Like i said, you're free to enjoy masking the taste of sushi with wasabi and soy sauce slurry if you want, just like you're free to eat well done prime steaks, pasta cooked well past al dente or use gold plated monster cables for your sick Bose "home theater".

Agree, I once cringed when someone put pepper in my chicken soup but hell, if they want pepper in their soup it's their taste buds, not mine.
