Players who at the flick of a switch can take over gamesNames which come to mindKobewadeTmacPierceLebronedit: How did i forget ai? and i bet i've forgotten others.
1. Kobe: Obviously no doubt about it2. T-Mac: 13 points in 35 seconds3. Dwyane: 4th quarter player4. Iverson: Clutch player5. Pierce: quiet for 3 quarters but turns it on in the 4th
We need some Chauncey Billups love here...1. Kobe Bryant2. Dwyane Wade3. Carmelo Anthony4. Chauncey Billups5. Paul Pierce
Chauncey Billups a bigger takeover player than LBJ? I dont think so..How could you leave Lebron off your list? Still angry about the Cavs vs. Pistons series? That is just plain ignorant. Lebron is one of the best in the L at taking over games, and winning it for his team. For example: His team was sucking ass against the Pistons, but he sent it to 7 games, and almost won it.

LeBron was horrible early in the season in the fourth quarter, I think even one time the Cleveland fans were booing him! It wasn't until the playoffs were he got that fire to take the last shot of the game. Chauncey on the other hand won his finals MVP taking over games and being a great fourth quarter player. This topic is basically the best fourth quarter players aka clutch. PF, no way is Chauncey higher than Pierce. Pierce was second in the league in fourth quarter points behind only Kobe, and he was arguably the most clutch. He takes over the games not only by scoring, but he leads a young team emotionally. His teammates see his effort and desire and follow in his steps.

how do you know? i got my info from watching a game, so it might be a little out-of-date. last time i heard it was like kobe with over 10 and then Pierce with like 9.7

And take over players arent only players that play well in the 4th quarter. They are players that can take control of a game by themselves, and single-handedly give their team the victory.

Ruins my debate? You can score 30 in a game but it really doesn't matter if you choke in the fourth, a takeover player is like what Wade did in the finals.
BTW: dogmatist, you were way off. Pierce is actually 9th in the League in 4th quarter scoring. Did you hear that in like the 4th game of the season?<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Heatfan32 @ Sep 6 2006, 07:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Not to mention the fact he wasn't clutch at all till the playoffs. If it was just based on how clutch you were, then Melo would be the unanimous choice.Lebron can take over games with his athleticism, skills, and passing ability, and that's why he is a great takeover player.
