The thing that impresses me most about these highlights, is that they are all from the same game. It's not like someone went out and just grabbed 15-20 plays from 35 games. He showed these skills in 30-35 minutes. As far as his age, didn't he get a late start playing basketball? If this is true then it may not be fair to say he has a lower ceiling then younger players. According to his coach he is very smart and just scratching the surface. That he continues to get better. Plus maybe his legs are fresher.... His rookie contract and his 2nd contract add up to be 8-9 years. He would be in his early 30's. If we can get a center for that long it would be a record for us.
Jonathan Givony @DraftExpress 2m DX: Gorgui Dieng Workout Video and Interview http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Gorgui-Dieng-Workout-Video-and-Interview-4276 … I know its just a workout but I do have to say I like how clean (im not sure thats the right word but ...) he is around the hoop. Very smooth and accurate. Definitely seems like he can hit a jumper if needed
Good to see he's out of the boot. Just please let him not go to the Thunder, that's all I ask. Aside: I want a "SCAL" shirt. More relevant aside: somebody scan the crowd and see if there are Portland scouts there...
But Theo was a much better shot blocker. He averaged 5.1/game his senior year. Maybe more like Noel than Dieng.
just saw sheridan hoops latest mock, had Dieng at #27, this is gonna be an interesting and very unpredictable event
Cool podcast on this year's draft featuring Kevin Pelton where he describes Udoh as "a defensive savant"
I feel terrible for pointing this out, but I noticed something that I just can't unsee now. At one point during the shoot to make this feature happen, Dieng changes the position of his arm. So when you spin him around he gives a Sieg Heil.
