Thought I'd start a thread here so you don't have to go the Beaver forum. The game last night almost gave me a heart attack, but we're back! How do you like our chances?

Man, K-State just wouldn't go away!

I like our chances, haven't calculated just how much I like them. Has the schedule been released?

Yes it has. We play Mississippi State Saturday. I think we're the only seeded team on our side of the bracket.

OS has a rally good chance to get to the final best of three. No other seeded teams are in their group of four. I expect OS to be in the championship round again, playing either North Carolina (again for the title, how would that be??), or LSU.

I consider OS to be the favorite right now, because of their starting pitching.

    GO BEAVS!!!

Louisville and Indiana are also in our bracket. So game1 is Saturday at noon PT and win or lose game 2 is Monday.

After that I’ll guess on all the dates but it’ll probably be something such as the 1-1 teams play Wednesday with the winner playing the 2-0 team Thursday. If necessary a final game would be on Friday.

So who do we start with on game 1 Saturday? Who do we use in relief? Matt Boyd threw the last pitch on Monday but I would guess 4 days off is enough rest. Just like a regional you can play 3, 4, or 5 games to advance. It is concerning Casey went to Boyd in relief makes our bullpen a possible concern when I had thought it was a strength.

Yahoo has full schedule; Beavs play Saturday and Monday. Then 1-1 teams play Wednesday, winner plays 2-0 team Friday. If necessary another game is Saturday.

Then final series is Mon 24th, Tue 25, Wed 26(if necessary)

Kind of crazy if you win the first two games you have 3 full days of rest.

The game is today? I'm a little nervous about playing the team that knocked them down the first time.

Meh, it took a late game rally for them to win by one.

I have faith in the beavs!

...what part makes you nervous? The fact that they have Kenny "Fucking" Powers in the pen -or- the fact that they have sledge hammer(s) in the dugout? :dunno: Has this time ever lost twice in a row to a school all season long?

I ain't scared of no ghost!

BIG GAME can't wait! I not liking this noon schedule makes it a bitch to get out of work.

I hear they might start Fry, he is the guy who was a second round pick out of high school and turned down tons of money to go to OSU, but he is coming back from Tommy Jon surgery with a limited pitch count. Then they'd bring Moore in and hope he finishes the game. I wasn't very impressed with Moore at the start of last game but after he gave up those runs in I think the third he really settled down and played great.
