When watching a superstar player with HOF skills play for someone else, it's hard to gain a true appreciation of what they are. I remember hating HATING Michael Jordan when he was playing, and would root for any team playing against him, thought he was an egotistical jerk who had respect for no one and never seemed to get the comeuppance he deserved. Same with Dr. J, Kareem, Magic, Bird, etc. Of course, I cherished and worshipped players like Bill Walton and Clyde Drexler because they were playing for MY team, and was pissed that they (by my worldview) didn't get the same attention and adoration from the national media and other team's fans. Of course, in retrospect, I have nothing but respect and admiration for what Jordan, Kareem, Erving, Magic/Bird, and all of the other megasuperstars were able to do. I'm sure that time and perspective will do the same to LeBron, and I'll be able to say with sincerity "I remember when I watched him play, boy, was he great!". But right now, he's the cocky, self-absorbed enemy with the "Not one! Not Two! Not Three!" proclamations that make me root for him to get slapped back down to where the rest of us are.
I kind of feel the same way. Although I dont hate Lebron like I use to hate Jordan and still hate Kobe. Probably because his success hasn't come at the expense of the Blazers yet. I usually root against the big names in general just because I like the underdog and I hate seeing a team that's not mine dominate the league for multiple years. That being said, Lebron earn this one and was a little lucky, most successful people are a combo of luck and skill though. Lebron's skills are impressive to watch.

Near the end of last night's game, as it was clear that the Heat were going to win, a big-titted, blonde middle aged woman with more plastic surgery than Michael Jackson got up from her courtside seat and started dancing and waving her arms like she had just won the lottery. Never have I been more seethingly disgusted at a fanbase such as Miami's. They make Laker fans look like diehards.

Sorry but the nation was douchiest. Everyday there was some new nonsense to complain about. It was hard for me to feel sorry for haters because their hatred is illogical. The country doesn't have to like certain players, but that doesn't mean it gets to be ignorant about advanced metrics. Also this was hardly all the boasting I should have done, I was humble. So, about halfway through his career, Lebron is about 3/4 of the way to matching the all-time playoff win-share total. I see that he has 11 win shares over the past two years; if he repeats that over the next two, then he passes Jordan.
