You mean besides Colt right? In a word, stacked. I read an article where Helfrich singled out Pharoah Brown for having a great Spring and they've several other big/fast highly touted young guys who could emerge as contributors as well. Always room at the top for the best though

So we're stacked at the TE position. Colt, Brown, Mundt, Baylis and more. Though I suppose one more TE for redshirting purposes(as Colt is declaring this year) wouldn't hurt

Ha! I posted as I was rushing out the door this morning and meant to edit for clarity at work, but... didn't happen. While there are a lot of top prospect RBs checking out the Ducks, Royce seems to have it all. Size, speed, honor role GPA, plus he's supposed to have great character. The current status of my fingers is crossed

In other news, Oregon just offered Texas WR Keenen Brown. While he's thought to be a heavy Oklahoma lean, he does hail from the same HS as Torrodney Prevot... we'll see

Getting Freeman would be like having an Eddie Lacy in the backfield. Would love it.

Freeman seems to be our most likely RB commit. Don't know if we will either push hard for mixon or continue afters scott for the 2nd commit.

Looks like we'll get 4 DB this cycle if we can land McGraw, Springs, Baker in additon to our JC dude. Though Bake might officially be considered an athlete.

Would not be shocked if both Springs and Freeman commit at the Opening to Oregon.

    Per another site
The 6-foot, 225-pound prep is the No. 71 overall player was at Oregon's camp this week and made his impression on the coaches and audience.
However it may have been the impression Oregon made on Freeman that was the bigger storyline.
"I loved the hospitality and how they answered all of my questions," Freeman said. "They all made me feel like I was already a part of the team. That really stood out to me and my parents."
Freeman was one of the select few that was allowed to see the new football facilities as they near completion.
"The facilities are even better in person. I saw some of the new building and it's pretty impressive. I'm not sure there is anything out there quite like it."
Running backs coach Gary Campbell has led in the charge of the recruitment so far. Freeman said he was able to spend time with Campbell and head coach Mark Helfrich among others.
"Campbell is a great coach. I like his style of coaching and his attention to detail. I think of it as a challenge with him. He's always trying to perfect you on every carry and I want to perfect myself too."
"I talked with coach Helfrich for a while a few times. He was more down to earth than I thought he would be. I thought he'd be more serious but he was easy to talk to and was very in depth about everything."
Arrion Springs was also in attendance and one of the Ducks top priorities. The two four-star recruits were able to bond during the trip.
"I talked to Arrion a lot while I was there. We had a good chat and talked about a lot of things. He's a great player and I enjoyed getting to know him."
Freeman said his parents enjoyed many of the same things about Oregon he did.
"They loved the hospitality and the environment. They were really big on how the staff cares about family and really supportive of that. They definitely enjoyed it."
The only known visit for Freeman is a trip back to Oregon for 'The Opening' later this month. According to him, he's actually unsure where things stand following this trip to Oregon.
"I'm going to reflect on the whole recruiting process right now following this trip. The visit to Oregon really opened my eyes and now I just need to think things over. I don't know if I'm going to take more trips or exactly what I'm going to do."

Florida RB Tony James has named Oregon in his top 6 but says they're the only school he's already set up an OV for over the one fall weekend his HS team has a bye. Oregon is the farthest away of the 6 so it makes sense, but nonetheless being prioritized is obviously a reflection of the Duck's chances. He would seem to project into the TZR role. The other seeming lead candidate to succeed DAT is NC stud Derrell Scott who also has declared Oregon is in his final grouping (of 5).

We are so not getting Scott. SCAR or NCAR has him locked(both can use arguements of legit RB schools. See: M. Lattimore and Gio Bernard).

I like Tony James though. He can easily fit the tazer spot to succeed DAT. Plus, we can convince him he can start as a true freshman what with DAT going into the draft.

On Lockett and his plan to commit on the opening to somewhere.
    Per 247

    Justin Hopkins said...

Well, here is something to watch.... As of now he'll commit to Oregon. I'm pretty certain on that.

However I'm not sure Oregon will take him. They (Oregon) are in a good spot with McGraw and Springs and I'm not sure Lockett is must take at this time. This one could get interesting in the next few days.

No problem with Springs and McGraw.

Hmmm...anything we need to address this class?

Arrion Springs has us as the favorites so far, according to 247 sports. I think we're good on the corner position. Now to grab McGraw, who wants to head out west.

Springs has recently said he'll be announcing this coming weekend at The Opening. Him retweeting seemingly everything pro-Ducks that he receives and going back and forth with various 2014 UO commits probably gives us a good idea how thats going to go

We told him we were full, I think if he notified the staff prior to Harrison he probably would have had that spot. Springs, McGraw, Budda, Harrison. Then done for that position.
