If there is one position that the New Orleans Pelicans should have zero interest in in this year's NBA Draft it would have to be power forward. The Pelicans are set at that spot for the foreseeable future with second-year pro Anthony Davis and his primary backup Ryan Anderson. Both players have been rewarded for their potential with spots on the USA Basketball team that will be working in Las Vegas this summer with an eye toward the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Add Jason Smith, a swingman who can also play center, to the mix and New Orleans is well-stocked. That doesn't mean, however, that the Pelicans wouldn't take a flier on Nevada-Las Vegas prospect Anthony Bennett, who's a proven scorer but would likely lack the necessary size to be a starting power forward in the NBA. At 6-foot-7 (Bennett's NBA Draft Combine height), Bennett would be an ideal size for small forward, a position in which the Pelicans certainly have an interest. It would be a project moving down the road to switch Bennett to the small forward position, but he's currently recovering from rotator cuff surgery in his left, non-shooting shoulder so that would give the Pelicans time to acclimate him to another position. - See more at: http://www.nola.com/pelicans/index.ssf/2013/06/new_orleans_pelicans_should_ha.html
