So we've had several "your guys" topics, how about guys you want the team to avoid?

For me Steven Adams and and French center are up there, mainly because we already have a raw center that isn't very good and we don't need any more.

Add Zag's Gonzaga boy on there too.

It's not a matter of "who", but "where". For instance, I'm leery of the list below, but I wouldn't mind taking them if we, say, bought pick #25. I just don't think using #10 (or higher) on them is the right call.

    Yours (Adams and Gobert)
    MCW
    KCP
    Olynyk
Burke/Schroeder (not because they may not be good, but if we have 1 pick I don't think a pure PG is the right move with so much other similar talent on the board)
    Bennett
Adetokunbo (@10---I would think about it at 19 if we got it in a trade)

Usually I have very strong opinions on this, but I'm trying to enter a state of zen so I'm not pissed off by our draft. (Last year Leonard was one of the ones I really didn't want.)

Shabazz Muhammad is probably the most obvious, just because he sounds one dimensional and non-team-oriented. Guys who are really good scorers if you give them the ball ALL THE TIME and don't care if they're inefficient aren't that hard to come by, but they're also not worth coming by.

I agree that Gobert sounds like an obvious bust. Adams a less obvious one, but bust-y nonetheless. However, if we did draft him, he seems like a great bloke, so that would soften the pain.

If we had a higher pick I'd be more worried, because I think Mclemore and Bennett are also way overrated. But fortunately there's infinitesimal chance they'll drop to us.

I would find Caldwell-Pope very underwhelming, but I would reserve judgment.

Of players who've been (strongly) linked to us - Pope. So, my best guess is that we'll draft....Pope. And then I'll come around on that decision during the season.

Edit to my list: Larkin. DOn't know why, just don't get a good vibe. And I love Krypto-Nate.

I'd be happy as a clam with him at #10 :)

Likewise. I think it's incredibly unlikely - but not impossible...

Oh ya, I'd go as far as to say no chance in hell, but to not want him with our pick is silly

Why? As a backup I think he has a lot of potential.

A total change of pace guy who was by far the best p&r guard in college last year.

Combine his speed and shooting, there's a lot to like IMO.

As I said, no idea why. I can't even quote a stat for it, and I know people have said he was a good interview.

The broken toys - Len, Noel and Bennett - all make me nervouse, but I suppose at #10 you have to take the chance.

Of the realistic possibilities: Gobert is #1 with a bullet. Adams, Ledo and Olynyk are tier 2. Shabazz is tier 3.

According to Chad Ford, if the Cavs take Len (which they really shouldn't, according to Kevin Pelton), the Magic will jump on Noel. So there goes my dream.

At 10 I don't want Gobert/Adams/Ledo/Olynyk and the one guy I don't want with any pick thats not a first secound rounder is MCW.
