why would someone care what other people want to talk about? maybe half the forum wants to talk about dan dickau, or theo ratliff, or paul allens yacht... is there a problem with that?
Let's see, there's a nine page thread on "LA gone before or draft day", one on "blazers reject LMA for Cle two first round picks", and this one on "LMA wants out?" I don't see that anybody is being restricted on their ability to float ideas about Aldridge being moved. The only reason I posted what I did on this one is that the source being quoted is so fricking flimsy it's comical. I totally get that many of you think that the best way to improve the team is to move Aldridge this summer. It's a reasonable position and I think it's only natural that we talk about it here. That said, building threads out of the thinnest of rumors is pretty silly, IMO. NateBishop said in one post that where there's smoke there's fire. Well, the pioneers used to burn dried buffalo dung for campfires when there wasn't any other fuel, which just goes to prove that you can get plenty of smoke out of pure bullshit.
Acually NOT quite true..... Read more at http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-am-let-the-trade-rumors-begin#xDxUFphf0OFOvJeG.99
It would be easier to do the reverse. It kept the wolf from my door, don't knock it, just ring the buzzer.
Allen could also be heartily sick of watching LMA shoot low percentage jumpers, not rotate on defense, and lead the team to the lottery two years in a row.
I think there is a reasonable probability that LaMarcus has indicated to management that he'd like a better chance to pursue a championship during the prime years he has remaining than the Blazers can offer at this time. If it is true that so many teams are supposedly trying to 'poach' LaMarcus from us that also makes me think there is a high probability that the word is out that he is available or wants to be available. Where there is buffalo (actually bison) dung and nomads, there is often fire. LaMarcus is a legitimate allstar, one of the best power forwards in the NBA, and the best player on the Blazers. Glad to know Olshey isn't going to give him away for scraps.
In the East they could easily become a Top 4-5 team. Then all it takes are a few injuries to the teams in front of them and they get to be the team that loses to whoever comes out of the West.
So I'd be willing to bet my life LA isn't traded before or during this draft. Anyone who believes this is either really bored or plain clueless. Not got happen. Take a deep breath guys.
I have no idea. I have to doubt Cleveland is a preferred destination for LaMarcus. Unless he has a wink-wink with Lebron.
