I think we sit on the money. By sitting on the money it builds interest. Be horrible one more year and give ourselves a chance to draft Andrew Wiggins. Then next season make a run at a huge free agent.

Oh and I would take Nerlens at #1 and trade the number 19 for bench support

Looking to build a team that can defend and score. Nerlens will bring the defense. There will be plenty of offense with Lillard, Waiters, Wiggins and whoever we pick up in free agency next year. Thinking Lebron here.

I don't think that's going to happen with Nerlens. I'd take him #1.
    I'd take Zeller at 10
I'd make a ridiculous offer to Nikola Pekovic
I'd make a ridiculous offer to Tony Allen
    Resign Maynor

c - Pekovic / Leonard / Nerlens (if he plays at all next season)
    pf - Thompson / Zeller / Freeland
    sf - Batum / Allen
    sg - Mathews / Waiters
    pg - Dame / Maynor

The big problem is I don't think that team is all that horrible. Like RoyToy said, you really want to suck hard if you're trading Aldridge. I just really like Pekovic for some stupid reason and I'd like to sign Allen out of spite for screwing us out of the Darius Miles cap space back in the day.

If we give up Aldridge, I want to somehow end up with both Olapido an Nerlens. So I would look for some combo of the 10th, 19th, waiters, TT, Wes, Barton, and just about everyone outside of Lillard and Batum, to get another really high pick. With Noel being out for a while and an uber young team, I would expect a really high pick next season.

But, if all this happened, I'd still be bummed.

This is why you sit on the money.

Or in other words try to be horrible. GM's can tank too.

You have no clue what was actually offered, if anything.

That's not the point of the thread. If you want to go debate the specifics, go to one of the other topics. This is a thread about what should happen IF the trade goes down. Stay on topic please.

Lillard and LMA to Cleveland for Irving, Thompson, and the #1 Pick

    What say you?

Irving is injury prone, but he's a better player when healthy than Lillard.

I don't see why either franchise would trade their star PG's at this moment. It seems like a trade just for the sake of trading.

Stop hating on my idea! It would open up cap space for the Blazers when Thompson and Irving need new contracts in two years ... errrrrrr

Good brother. Since the US Open, I'm enjoying a much need 3 week break. As for your trade.......Normally I'd say yes, but this #1 pick just doesn't impress me at all!

Joking or not.... Not even funny.

If you're serious, I feel bad about the holes developing in your brain. If not, your sense of humor is getting weak.
