I still don't think they are moving Aldridge but I thought the plan was to get better this summer and get back in playoffs. I thought they wanted to get better but now all we hear is they are moving Aldridge. So yes they are listening but has the plan changed? Things are getting interesting for sure. Let me just say though, should the blazers trade Aldridge in this shitty draft for picks blazers are looking at 2-4 years easily of lotto hell and that's being generous.

Not happy with this news..... where there's smoke there's fire. Just how serious is the fire is the question.

I think Neil Olshey wants to rebuild and Paul Allen wants to contend for the 8th spot

They might be listening but that doesn't mean they are reaching out looking to trade him. I think you have to listen. I think most of these "experts" are guessing

I'm really hoping that it's a smoke screen. Maybe giving an idea that Aldridge is available; then use that bait to set up convo's to get another player. I will be really upset if we lose Aldridge.

and if they aren't a playoff team next year like we and paul allen were "promised" you are going to have a ton of pissed off season ticket holders

I think Neil Olshey is an alpha male who wants big names and quickly. I don't think he's a "slowly rebuild using emasculated journeymen" kind of guy.

Neil Olshey has constantly talked about guys that "move the needle". I don't think he would trade Aldridge without a significant piece coming back. The number one pick in this draft is not significant.

Thats the problem you run into when you fire your GM's every 1-3 years. If thats the case Olshey wont be around for very long either.

Hmm, seems like it has been an ongoing combination of both. I amso sick of the "wait until next year" thinking..

The Blazers have been trying to rebuild out of the draft for the past decade as they keep trying to do what the Bulls and Thunder have done.

I could have worked too, except for the Blazers' infamous luck that reared its butt-ugly head.

Swap Oden for Durant and we would be in contention now. The Oden pick was the right choice; but luck fucked us in the asshole!

You can blame them for taking risk with known injuries, but if they players would have stayed healthy, that team would be kicking it in the playoffs. Roy-LMA-Oden would have had great balance, solid defense with a great finisher. Good strategy, bad luck.
