Let's assume the Blazers are trading Aldridge

It will take too long to build a team like the Spurs. That team has been crafted and molded for over a decade. We have two years until Aldridge's contract runs out. How do you propose we get the team out of the first round in the next two years?

    Imaginary cap space! :MARIS61:

What are the spurs exactly? The team is basically centered around a great PG and great PF with 3 point shooting wing men (of course they have a HOF coach). But the basic framework is there.

All we need to do is spend our cap room on a few free agents or a good one or to build a bench and the rookies are a year older and more experienced.

There's one problem with that. Aldridge is good, but he's not Tim Duncan. Do you think Aldridge will be in the HOF? Some people say Duncan is the greatest power forward of all time. That's kind of an important detail when you're comparing the Spurs and our current Blazers.

Aldridge if he continues on could very well be a HOF player. He's still only 28...few playoff runs and he could be there.

Is he 37 year old Tim Duncan? I'm talking about this year...not all time. they were a heartbeat away from a ring too. Not saying he's Duncan but he's the best PF in the game right now
