I don't think we need to fill SF in free agency. Batum (healthy this year) is great to start and we can take care of the backup with players already on the team or ones we draft in second round. I just don't understand the idea that we were targeting a SF at all.

I'm holding out hope for Gortat/Asik via trade. And then using out FA money to fill other holes. We'd be young, deeper than last year, and overall more talented. We'd likely be a low-see playoff team, but a playoff team nonetheless. And with a young roster, there'd still be room for natural growth from within.

I still like this idea of Tony Allen. I dunno if it really is legit he'd like to come here, but if he's interested..,

I'm curious if Houston is willing to just dump Asik for cap space. Are they looking to get anything back or are they just trying to clear room for Howard?

Here's my meltdown. Im pissed at Aldridge for wanting a trade and disappointed that management will do anything to try and appease him and probably keep him until near the trade deadline when we pick up meaningless wins. We better trade him before the regular season so we can compete with Philly, Charlotte, Cleveland, Phoenix, and now Boston.

LMA never said he wanted to be traded. That was a small group of posters jumping on any rumor to justify their wacky trade ideas.

Do you honestly think all the rumors are nothing? I'm sure he is becoming disgruntled because we haven't been winning. Chris Paul in his early stages with the Hornets never came out about it right away and was said to prefer to stay with the Hornets if they can get players to help him. How did that work out? It is a matter of time, we won't make the playoffs with or without Aldridge next year so why not trade him when he inevitably comes out demanding the trade?

    Okay forum....

Time to get your rant that will be posted on the signature of fellow posters

    Who has a bold prediction?

    I'll start...

Lillard will make the all star team. I'm not talking rookie sophomore either.

Can't say that yet. The summer isn't over. We could find a few good men to really make a difference. Seems like Aldridge just wants out of the first round. We could do that if we make the right trades

What are the trades that we will/can make? I know people don't want Aldridge to be gone, I don't either, but he is as good as gone. You hardly see a player who is rumored to want to be traded or threatens to leave the team after his contract expires backtrack and decide "no I decided I want to stay." I honestly believe it is time to move on from Aldridge and trade him asap to tank for next year.

Just checking. Calling someone a child is personal but negative Nancy isn't?

Not knocking it, I just need to know for my own posting.

Yes, I do, considering LMA said in public that he wants to see improvement next year, and thinks the team can be competitive the following year.

I don't pee my pants every time a rumor is floated, though, so that's just me.

I can't help it. I think SlyPokerDog is a giant douche. He changes people's posts without asking them first.
