We'll take that risk, thanks. At this point, his own mother doesn't like him. What are you going to say when they amnesty him? Let's swap coaches and see what happens to the win totals.
Not my rationalization. I read it a few days ago. http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20130625/sports/706259711/ I wouldn't trade Deng straight up for Aldridge. The moves needed to be made after don't seem possible. We'd either have Kirk Hinrich at SG or we'd be forced to play the rookie Snell at SF. And we got that Charlotte pick in exchange for Tyrus Thomas.
Did you not read that article or did you conveniently skip over that it was merely McGraw's idea? BACK of the line, Denny!
Deng played 40+ minutes a game and was an all star. He's paid several $million below MAX. One losing season his whole career. Same age as LMA. My preference would be to trade him to Sacto for Jason Thompson and S&T Tyreke Evans. They need a SF, we need a SG and backup C.
McGraw has been covering the Bulls for a really big newspaper for at least 15 years. Nobody in the organization would talk to him, right? He has no clue what management is thinking. /greenfont
All true. Still of very limited value round the league, I think you'll find. Wow. I think the Bulls should be happy you don't get your way. I have a feeling those players wouldn't see much PT under Thibodeau.
You don't read, eh? We really need a 21/9 PF to go with the 16.2/10 PF we already have, and the $9M backup PF, and the other two PFs on the roster.
No you get the best player you can get and trade the others. The goal is to have the best at the position and Aldridge is light years better than any big you have on your team. That includes noah
Yeah, nevermind defense. Awesome insight. But it's a good idea for Portland to bring in another highly paid SF when we already have a $10m/per SF on the roster.
Taj plays defense, yet Thibs plays Boozer more (2nd on the team in minutes). And the Bulls were near last in scoring, terrible on the fast break, etc. The Bulls beat the Nets without Deng, Hinrich, and Noah on a sore foot and limited minutes. Defense didn't win.
I don't buy that Aldridge wants to be traded. What Aldridge wants is for Paul Allen to grow a pair and spend like he did in 2000 or like how Mikhail Prokhorov is doing in Brooklyn so that the Blazers can be championship contenders NOW AND NOT LATER!!!
Good luck. The team that gets him probably wants to extend his contract, or it'd be a 2 year rental. It will be a worse situation after this season. Seems the Bulls are one of the teams he actually wants to play for.
Neil will get value. The Bulls are one of the teams, not the only team, but that's pretty irrelevant -- the blazers have to get the most out of LMA as they can. The Cavs offer is a lot better and that was rejected. Believe it or not, there is a big market for LA.
