Saw them 20 years ago in college, when they were an oldie band. Fun times, though. Some people call me Maurice...
Steve Miller in Portland!
Too big, way too drunk guy got taken down in front of us by security. This was at 6:00 or so before the show even started. Guy must have been drinking all day. Couldn't even keep his eyes open but every time they tried to let him walk with them to the gate he'd start swinging and they'd slam him down on the grass and try to get him to chill out. Finally they gave up and just sat on him until the real police arrived. Concert was good, I've seen SM 6 or 7 times over the last 40+ years and it's always an upbeat and entertaining time. Les Schwab Amphitheater has probably the strictest noise level limitations of anywhere I've heard live music, akin to the level you hear when the neighbor kid has a party and cranks up his stereo, but the music was great, the weather was awesome, and a good time was had by all (except for the drunk).
Glad you had fun. LSA is a venue I've always wanted to visit. Someday. Never have seen SMB, although I'd really like to. Him and Huey Lewis.
Steve miller is a baller I saw him cut a 90k check to pay the curfew penalty so he could play an extra hour and a half. Before the show started.
Saw SMB here at the Clark County Ampitheatre. Great show. ABM, saw Huey Lewis at the zoo last year or the year before. Only played about 25% of the old stuff. Will check the reviews on any show I go to now to ensure it I never have to sit thru so much new crap again.
He'll be @ the Zoo again this year. Thinking of grabbing a fun gal and going. The good "news"? It's the Sports album anniversary tour. All of the "good" stuff.
