A lot of upside, proven at Kansas, and he doesn't have to be a 'lottery pick' anymore. Hopefully he works hard and becomes a solid back-up PF. Very little risk in this pick-up, since he can be renounced after this season, if need be. If he doesn't work out, you Nolan Smith him and clear some cap space.

He oozes physical talent, but needs a couple years of patient coaching. Until then, he'll give us spectacular highlights. We paid a lot, because as Rasta said, the 2 Euros are good. But we filled our 2nd-biggest need, substitute PF. C and a cheaper Maynor remain to be signed.

I wouldn't read too much into the Rockets getting rid of him as they are confident they are getting Dwight and needed extra space to offer him a max.

I also wouldn't read much into the Kings getting rid of him as everything Sacramento has done the past five years is stupid.

Funny how people (not saying you, PapaG) only months ago were praising Morey as a God for getting T-Rob for nothing, and now some people think he is a terrible player. Dude is a 22 year old big, give him a couple years. I have faith he can be a good big off the bench and for what we paid to get him, I think we can live with that.

You must have missed my post where I said Houston doesn't care since they think they're getting D12. It's a minimal risk pick-up for the Blazers. Great move by Olshey, and now it's up to Robinson to prove he can be a solid NBA player.

I am really stoked we got Robinson. He was the player I really wanted in last years draft and as a backup role I think he will have a shot to show his talents next year with no one behind LA. I should also say I hope this allows us to drop LA's minutes to around the 33-35 mark.

I just want Robinson to show a little skill level. Right now he's purely an athletic energy guy. Needs to develop something.

I like T-Rob, hope he makes it in the league.

Like others have mentioned, adding a reliable jumper could really make or break his career. Even in his disastrous rookie year he wasn't a bad rebounder. Hes got the physical tools to be at least passable on defense. However with no threat of a jumper, no NBA level post game, and a tendency to get roofed when finishing under the rim, hes not a factor on offense aside from garbage buckets. The jumper would make him much more valuable spacing the floor, in the pick and roll/pop, and could open up lanes to the rim so he can take advantage of his above average handle and mobility. Reminds me a lot of young David Lee as far as skillset and tools go, like with Lee the jumper could elevate his game a lot. And hes a much more explosive athlete than Lee, although lacking in bball IQ.

Corliss Williamson was a decent back-up PF. 15 PER for his career, and had an 11-year NBA run.

That's what I viewed Robinson as last year. Not sure what your point is? Robinson should have been picked in the teens instead of the Top 5. Anybody who watches NCAA hoops should have seen it, IMO.

I don't think we need another PG to help fill the 48 minutes when we have two lead guards in Lillard and McCollum with blue chip talent. Someone would have to want to sign to literally never play (except for injury).

I don't think there is a team out there that doesn't have 3 guys who can play PG on their roster. There is always an injury (just hopefully not a serious one) during the course of a season. Remember, one doesn't have to be active (and they probably wouldn't be).

I would rather have Robinson on a rookie contract and still have cap space over Hickson on a long term deal with less than the MLE to offer. I am not worried about second rounders either.

Now if we can get a center, I will be very happy.

Repped. Another PG will be signed using the vet minimum. It may even be Maynor.

Yeah the bases are loaded and we need the hitter to take us home.

I'd like us to get a defensive PG, not sure who that is exactly, but someone who can play 10+mpg in a pinch if Westbroook, Parker, Rose, or whoever is tearing us apart. A veteran on a minimum contract that will accept a role of not playing a few games. Damian was horrific on defense and as a rookie I wouldn't expect much better from CJ.

It will be interesting who we target, obviously we'd love Asik but the price will be high so losing a starter in Wes or Batum doesn't improve our depth and could backfire.

Dalembert or Splitter are my guesses. Maybe Mozgov or ZaZa for a few less dollars. Then get Jermaine Oneal with the room exception.
