Prefer selling house for Chandler. Or Asik. Or Splitter. Pretty MEH, but would allow us to have some cap space elewhere.
I'm sold that my man Olshey is content that Leonard with a little grooming is the man that we need as a Center. I tend to agree with him.
Well, he's a serviceable vet. I wouldn't pay him 8 million dollars he got last year though. It would be nice to split time with Leonard.
I think this signing screams confidence in Leonard. It's a great signing if you think Leonard will mature in the next couple of years to be our starting center. Kaman is not a bad player and I think he will help us. I think you could get Kaman for 5-6 million a year, so we would still have some space left. Possibly to acquire some assets from teams looking to unload guys.
Why do I have the feeling that Olshey values Clippers or ex-Clippers waaaaay more than the rest of us?
Kaman isn't even bad. Could be a better rebounder and could be more efficient....but he's more of a rim protector than Hickson.
My only hope is that we have people meeting or talking with agents of a number of different players at 9:00. Seems unlikely though....
seemed we heard talk of a big who was a rim protector,a nd someone who didn't really need touches. That seems about the opposite of Kaman. Meh.
If that's the only way we're rating our FA period, we're guaranteed success! Paul Allen could blindfold Olshey, stick him in front of the list of F.A. centers, and have him pick one. They'd be better than Hickson at center. Jokes aside, I don't hate Kaman....but he's older, injury prone, and no way does he "move the needle", especially in the long term.
