I forgot he calls games for them. Pretty much makes what I said mute.

    I'd rather trade for Asik.

    He's very available btw.

Adding Pachulia/Kaman will surely change LMA's mind about the direction of this team.

If we traded for robinson, you'd think we asked about asik too. I'm guessing Houston doesn't really want to move him or other teams are offering more than we could.

It isn't that hard to understand.

Interviewing players doesn't mean we sign them. It's also a way of negotiating. You don't want the person you are negotiating with to think that's your only choice. (Look how well it worked for the hibbert match)

Options lead the other side to believe that they aren't the only choice. Also; I think most of this is a smoke screen. We are getting asik and tony Allen.

    Fucking home run baby!!!!

Who do you realistically give up to get Asik?

OR, the "rumors and speculation" is complete bullshit and they don't want to off load Asik until they are CERTAIN they will be getting Dwight.

I think that makes more sense then being confident, so you destroy your team without an agreement in place.

How does that clear capspace for the Rockets to sign Howard?

Exactly. I can see them telling us "okay you get asik for giving us this relief; but we want to make sure we get Howard to sign first"

    I'm totally fine with that.

I thought they already cleared the cap space?

I don't think they'd trade Asik until Dwight commits. I think they're taking calls though.

They already have cap space right now. We have them enough to offer max. Now he has to sign first.

Adding to the speculation, saw on twitter that if Dwight goes to HOU, Josh Smith could end up there as well.

Asik actually is on cap for $8.38 mil. The first year was 5 mil and the second 5 and a balloon of $15 mil on the last year. They average all three years and are on hook with cap for the average of all three

Sign and trade? Well which players would they take back?

So they'd be interested in taking on salary? Matthews and Leonard for Asik doesn't make sense for a team looking to shed contracts to sign bigger ones.

Aren't they far enough under the cap to sign him? I thought that was the point of trading TRob.

I can't think of a worse possible PF to play alongside Dwight than Josh Smith.
