No, I'm clowning the idea that Mags thinks Lee has something yet to be exposed by opposing teams.

Does Memphis exercising Bayless contract mean that they don't have much interest in re-signing Allen?

Memphis didn't exercise the contract Bayless did. He used his player option for his final year his final year, wasn't Memphis's choice.

Yeah, that really pissed me off haha... really want to get rid of that guy, and him coming back only eats into the dollars we have to spend on TA. I'm sure ya'll can empathize after ya'll's time with Bayless...

Eh, he wasn't that bad when he was here. His ego was only marginally bad, but I'm sure it's grown 10x since then.

Apparently Gal Mekel's deal is a three-year, guaranteed, league-minimum contract, and it shouldn't affect the Mav's cap space in chasing Howard/Iggy/etc.

I just don't see the way he fits on our current roster. He's similar to guys like O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay, in that he doesn't seem aware of situations offensively and always tries to put up the most shots possible. He can't run the point, struggles defensively, and is inconsistent as a "spark off the bench." A lot of Memphis fans will point to games where he came off the bench and saved the game with his scoring, but there are just as many games where he cost the team the game with his selfish play.

Our team needs shooters, but we need shooters like Quincy Pondexter, who can take control of the offense in appropriate situation but won't disrupt the offensive flow by forcing the issue. We're a team that likes to work inside-out, and it just seems like any time Bayless is in the game, the approach shifts to getting a good perimeter look, and if Bayless makes a shot or two from outside, he gets too much confidence and disrupts the offensive flow.

"During HOU meeting, Olajuwon, Drexler, Harden, Parsons and Yao offered Dwight their view on Houston being best fit and best chance to win."

    - Alex Kennedy (Aka Swish15 from s2... who beat Marc Stein on reporting the story)

Bringing out all those guys to recruit Dwight? Seems more and more like he's bound for Houston.

Does anyone else find it odd that Andrew Bynum is just an afterthought in this free agency? I've always been critical of Bynum, have never been a fan, but he's being treated like a leper in this year's free agency bidding. Even Philly gave him the metaphorical middle finger with the Noel trade... I'm wondering if a team like Dallas might be able to get him relatively cheap on a short-term deal...

Then Houston would have paid US to take Robinson.

I do think the Robinson deal "might" be a prelude to an Asik deal, yesterday I mentioned a 3-way idea with the Bucks. Wes to Bucks (they no SG at all), Meyers and Illyasova to HOU as they need a good outside shooting PF, and Asik to Por.

Is there a reason why LA wouldn't pursue a S&T for Asik if Dwight came up to them and said he wanted to sign in HOU?

what's HOU's motivation for that? with the Texas state tax (none) savings there is little net $$$ difference, basically F the Lakers and I'm down with that!

Andrew Bynum won’t work out for teams as a free agent

This just screams red flag to me.

I'm sayin if HOU is desperate for a taker, LA will be in need of a C. They could possibly want Lin too. I'm guessing a Lin + Asik for Dwight would be okay for both sides. But, on HOU's side: ya, they could get Dwight + other assets if they make a deal with someone else.

Not sure what this has to do with my question. Maybe I'm not following.
