Re: Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken foot Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken footOAKLAND, Calif. -- Golden State Warriors rookie center Patrick O'Bryant probably will miss the start of training camp after breaking his right foot.O'Bryant, the ninth overall selection in the June's draft, was injured during an offseason scrimmage in Las Vegas last month. Team doctors diagnosed the injury in San Francisco this week.He won't need surgery, but he is wearing an immobilizing boot. He will be out for at least four to six weeks, likely keeping him on the sidelines when Golden State opens camp under new coach Don Nelson.O'Bryant averaged 13.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.9 blocks last season at Bradley, then skipped his final two seasons of eligibility to turn pro. He is the only significant addition to the Warriors, who missed the playoffs for the 12th straight season last spring.Copyright 2006 by The Associated PressLink
Re: Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken foot I was just about to post this. This sucks, but at least he'll be back in mid-October, he'll get a couple preseason games under his belt. I hope he comes back strong, because as some of you know (if you actively posted in the draft section in June) that I'm a big O'Bryant fan. The Warriors could use him, and I think in a couple years he will be a pretty good center.
Re: Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken foot He'll be back from the start of the season, but he could be a little shaky because of his injury. This will hurt him quite a bit.
Re: Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken foot This injury will most likely effect him more mentally than physically.
Re: Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken foot At this time with Nelson coaching I didn't expect POB to play. He doesn't seem to have big motivation or a will to play. Biedrins right now is the better player at 21 and barely getting minutes under Monty.
Re: Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken foot Honestly, it seems as though this off-season had some of the highest amount of injuries in NBA history. Kobe Bryant, Patrick O'Bryant, etc.
