    Then why would the Lakers be sweating it so much? Why did they bring in 20 people yesterday to convince him to stay? Why would they spend money on a bill board to try to keep him? Why would they do all this shit if they had assurance that he was coming back?

    Tis is true and good point. But...if him coming back means the removal of D'antoni. I think it happens. I think he stated last year he wanted Jackson. Not sure why they didn't do that. Jim Buss can take responsibility for this if it doesn't happen.

    Logically I think you guys are right. Emotionally I want to see him leave to shut the local LA media up and their insistence that the Laker mystique will always prevail. That no major star will ever turn a Lakers offer down.

    Can't see them unloading a quality big man if they have nothing to replace him with. Howard would have been that replacement. With that said, don't you think it's going to take LA to acquire him? Not sure he is enough in a package for LA alone.
