Saw that. Maybe 6 mill or so per. The one upside to us having no real cap space is we can't sign these terrible deals. There have been a handful of them. Short term good. 4 years from now...bad. At least we can avoid that. Even if our whole division, outside of NJ, is passing us by...LOL.

Our division isn't passing us by. Signing FA's to moron contracts just means you are desperate and can't draft for the most part. Something this organization did before they hired Clark.

Toronto's top 6 is now very very good but their depth beyond that isn't great. They'll be a playoff team though.

I agree with you on the signings dump. Some will work and some won't. That is the one plus to us not having cap space, no stupid signings like we usually make.

But it is hard to argue our division isn't very good, and the teams are getting better. You may not like Philly and the Isles, but both are better. CBJ with Horton is better. 4 years from now sure terrible sigining maybe, but now they are better. Detroit is always good. Pitt is still very good of course. I really like their Scuderi signing.

    Tough spot IMO.

Toronto is good. And they added Bernier and Bolland as well. Good team. Hard to argue.

cant look at it and worry about what it may or may not be in 4 years...this was a good current move by the Leafs, and an even better for the Rangers as it depletes a already weak Debbie team.
