Us, Canes, Devs, Isles, CBJ's, Pens, Flyers, Caps in division D. Bost, Buff, Det, Fla, Ott, Leafs, TB, and Montreal in division C. So 16 teams in the East. Only 14 in the West. Which I don't love. Top 3 in each division make the playoffs. Then the next 2 best teams in terms of points make it in. Good battle to finish top 3 in our division. At least Detroit is in division C and not in our division like I thought.
Well the divisions are tougher. But I still think this team can be 3rd in our division even after today. I think were better than the Caps, Isles, Canes, Devs and Flyers although Philly concerns me. I think the Pens are better then us. I think the Jackets are much improved but not sold on them. Too early to worry too much. Hard to improve your team on days like this without hurting them later....Of all teams we should know that. Having said that I just hope Sather realizes he NEEDS another top 6 winger to compete for the Cup
Det should stay in the west, it doesnt make sense to have a 16/14 especially when columbus and detriot are better than WPG
Not having the Wings with us makes things better. I think Pens would be # 1 as of now. Then us, the Isles, the Flyers, and CBJ's battle for 2nd and 3rd. The Canes and Devs and Caps are behind IMO.
