Would it be out of the question to propose Aldridge and Matthews for Lee, Barnes, Thompson and a pick?

Barnes without question. I like Thompson and think he can be an above average SG, but that's all. Barnes is developing a nice 3 pt shot, can be a great defender, and he already has a good midrange game. He needs to work on getting to the line but I think he can improve there. Toward the end of last year, he started to realize that he needed to play differently than he did at UNC and I think that's what we saw in the playoffs. I think he can be an allstar similar to a Paul Pierce type.

    What was your answer?

LA has the physical tools to be a center, but he doesn't have the mentality. He always complains if he's made to work too hard in the paint, which is why he prefers to play on the perimeter. I'd like the Blazers to trade LA, I dont think we'd miss his little mid-range game at all.

Mine was Barnes easily as well

He had a decent rookie season, but really broke out in the playoffs. I think he has the potential to make a couple all-star teams, and would move Batum for him in a second. I like that he has an overall game to go with his athleticism.

I pretty much agree with you 100%. Seems like an east choice between the two to me.

No only would that be completely lospided, the Warriors can't trade a first round pick until 2019, I beleive.

They trade 2014 and 2017 today, so 2015 or 2016 would mean they wouldn't have a first for 2 consecutive years.

I would just like to point out that I was talking about Lee + Barnes + Thompson like.... three days ago? lol

I think now that Howard is off the board, the Dubs will be looking to make a big splash and I think Aldridge is the guy they want.

I wouldn't even need a pick to accept that deal.

    Nope.

Sorry, but if GS wants Aldridge who is young and better than Lee, they need to do both Thompson and Barnes. I would include Matthews if it was needed, but honestly I think Matthews and Klay are a wash. Matthews is currently better, but I think Klay will probably be better in the long run. They just seem so similar though.

I don't agree that Matthews is currently better. Klay is 3.5 years younger, and went from a 12 ppg last year to 16 ppg. While Matthews has averaged 16 ppg in '11, 13 ppg in '12, and 15 ppg in '13. I think we have seen Matthews at his best.

Do we really want Lee's contract, though?
