We can have our fun, but the L*kers are going to suck next year and then have a ton of capspace for 2014. They'll get the ping-pong ball equivalent of the frozen envelope treatment and they'll attract a couple of huge free agents. It's going to be one year of downtime then another decade of deep runs by that team. It's simply the structure of the league.
The lakers aren't going to offer anything more then 1 year deals. They are set up in the off season for MASSIVE room to sign 2 Stars and bring back Kobe. I could see them giving him a 1 year deal at a pretty high salary. On another note, the Lakers forum is full of Lakers fans crying about how the new CBA was meant to destroy the Lakers and how its unfair that Taxes have a big part to do with FA because of how high taxes are in Cali.
