Yes now its time to start pulling some Orange and Black faithful.........SC help me gathers some faithful:MARIS61:
Heh.. not really, other than it's a very nice ballpark with the bleachers close to the foul lines so it's "intimate." I had long moved away from Baltimore when they broke ground for Camden Yards. To give you an idea, one of the earliest games I went to see was a Washington Senators game at RFK stadium, many years ago.
i went to old memorial stadium the Os played the twins we lost 5-3 frank Viola was pitching for the twins and ken singleton hit one out for the birds
the team you had been 1966-1970...its pitching staff! Wow. I dont think there has been a better staff than they were since then!
Hank Bauer in 66 then Earl took over......Spanky was awesome, he didnt take anything from players and obviously the umps. Im going to have a moment of silence for Earl!
RFK stadium was nearly empty that night. I remember we sat in the grandstand about 50 rows from the field. There were about 40 rows of empty seats between us and the next people we could see, in front of us. A foul ball came our way and my cousin yelled, "I got it" and tried to catch it. It went right through his hands and hit the seat and bounced off it in the air all the way to the people in front of us. Bah. (I got plenty of balls at Wrigley, so it's no big deal)
