Question.... Why did you think golden state was willing to give up lee and Barnes or klay for Aldridge?

    Iggy was, too. Batum wasn't.

    Exactly!! :) (J/K)

I don't think stats are the "end all", at all. I think in both cases, it's OK to look at stats and also consider the specific circumstances under which the players are playing, and to use one's own evaluation, or 'eye test' if you will. If our eyes happen to disagree, that's cool.

IMO, Grandpa Iggy is still more effective and consistent overall than Batum. However, Batum is close, is younger, does some things better and others not as well, and for right now I'll take Batum on the Blazers rather than Iggy, thank you. Feel free to feel differently.

Re Aldridge/Lee: I already gave my take. Lee has the better FG% etc. but I think Aldridge is capable of the same if he were limited to playing closer to the basket, which he is not since his coach seems to prefer the "Dirk" offense. (Brian has written at length about the 'inefficient' shots Aldridge takes.) Again, I prefer Aldridge and his versatility for the Blazers at the moment.

    More like 'inconsistent', but yeah.

Well then, I guess we should expect big things from Iggy next season, eh?

I expect Denver's record to suffer without him.

I expect Denver's record to suffer because Karl's gone. They won a good amount of games without iggy

That's my issues with LMA, and that's why I don't hold him in as high regard as others. He's good. Just takes to many 15 foot jump shots for my liking. David Lee is a very good player in this own right and he shouldn't be punished because he plays his roll. In fact he should be rewarded for it. LMA stats suffer you say because he has more of a roll in the offense and has shown he can't handle it.

Batum on the other hand, I'm a big fan of his and for the future I would take him all day over iggy but for our argument is for next year who would you rather have. I take IGGY. He isn't the scorer Batum is (which I've already stated) but as a point forward and lock down defender, he is more valuable than Batum.

Iggy in GSW is going to allow Curry to play off the ball a little more and be lethal along with guarding guys like drose and westbrook.

Iggy came to them last season. What were their records before that?

In some alternate reality he was with them last season.

But without them, they lost more games in the strike shortened season than they did this year.

And before, and the year before? Denny you lost. Karl has more to do with their success than iggy.
