1-Jordan2-Maravich3-West(I concider him a 2)4-Havilcek5-Bryant6-Monroe7-Drexler8-IversonI count Gervin as a 3 more than a 2.

Don't put Pistol Pete second on the list. Sure he was decent, but he isn't anywhere near second. He isn't even on my list.Penny Hardaway was a great player. He had four good seasons, then he was injured. No way should he be on anybodies list.
1. MJ2. Kobe Bryant3. Jerry West4. George Gervin5. Allen Iverson6. John Havlicek7. Clyde Drexler8. Joe DumarsIt is really tough for me to put Dumars at 8th. I am really sorry to all Pistons fans for that.Uh, Im not sure if Pistol Pete ever played SG, but I will mention him anyway.
The guy had a career average of 24 points per game, and 5 assist per game. he averaged 25 or more points a game five times. he shot 44% from the feild and did all the crazy stuff that we see players doing today. he was in a sense the first modern shooting guard. he definatly deserves to be on the list over Joe Dumars, a guy who averaged just 16 points a game and 4 assist, and only broke 20 points a game three times in his career.
There are two sides of the game though, offense and defense. Joe Dumars brought the D and some great O as well.

Drexler was just the better scorer than him. Havlicek won a ton of championships, he could score, and he was simply a great two guard. I simply cant put Dumars over those guys...sorry..
I don't unnderstand how Gervin is better then kobe. Kobe is the better scorer, passer, rebounder, defender. Is on more all nba defensive teams. Kobe has more championships. There isn't one thing Gervin does extremly better then Kobe.Again, if drexler played in the 50's and 60's he'd be tearing up in the league. That's why I don't value old players. They don't have the athletisicm skills or training regiment that players have had in the last 10 years
