No worries. I'm correct on this one, and have been for a year since this same stuff was discussed last season.

You cannot say that with 100% certainty since trades do get invalidated and the reason Stern fines teams for commenting on transactions before they are official.

My statement was that Houston cannot hold a press conference for Howard until the Robinson trade is complete and you said that there was. Feel free to say whatever you want to make yourself feel better about trying to connect this thread with the Batum thread of last year.

Link? And how about a link to the long year-old thread?

(Actually, I think Papa guessed right, through elimination of possibilities. But you're acting as if you have the weight of authority behind your guess.)

you know, if league officials were intelligent, they would have checked out all these preliminary agreements to sign and trade agreements to make today go much more smoothly. any chance you think they may have done that?

Seeing that the NBA is a multi-billion dollar entity, I would say there is a chance.

However, seeing how there is still one guy that does all of the scheduling I would not be surprised if they need all ten days of the moratorium to sort out the financials.

Aside from a couple rants, I thought we'd always gotten along. I just laugh and poke fun at everyone/everything, including myself, here on this board and in life. It's going to be a long time on this planet; I try to take very little seriously.

If you make any little remark even slightly against him, you are his enemy. He takes everything here very seriously.

I wonder if any other fan base hates their local sports journalists more than we hate ours.

If there is one, we should challenge them to a bitch-off!

    We'd totally win.

I can't imagine there's much love for Sam Smith in Chicago, and Peter Vecsey in NY.

I suppose my Q fits into this thread. Is there anyway for HOU to renege on the TRob deal if they suddenly find other teams offering more than POR?

But both of those guys feel "national" in scope; do they do a ton of whining about their local team almost exclusively?

Is it? Haven't been following the updates today. Thought DWright was the only move finalized after the moratorium ended
