    I have no illusions that we're going to win a title with this team, but I think we can now be competitive with just about anyone. That means every game this season, unlike last year, will be fun to watch.

    Following sports and being a fan is supposed to be for fun and entertainment. I have no idea why so many posters allow themselves to be so negative, agitated and apparently depressed over a team's trades, lack of trades, draft picks, or players possibly leaving in 2 years. It's strange.

    If following a sports team can have a negative impact on your lives, you should probably take a step back and look at making some changes in your lives.

    We were a .500 team for 2/3 of a season with the worst bench in the league, until wear and tear on the starters began to take its toll. Just sayin'.

    hmm...POR didn't make this list of 11 "contenders" for the NBA title....(they had 12...but I don't see Lakers as a contender...this year...)

    I don't think anyone on this board, even mags, thinks were a contender this year. I think we will shock at lot of teams and we could get lucky and get to the 5-6th seed in the playoffs but the ceiling for this team is probably the second round.
