If Paul really wants NHL we would have already had one. Portland has had many chances at the NHL and Paul Allen is always the one who kills the idea.
Doesn't the vulcans own the rose garden? If that's the case, then why not add more revenue with an NHL team? It would be pretty easy to transform the garden to appease the NHL platform.
Not sure why it was a horrible anaolgy. Is it because I didn't offer a Wes/Leonard trade proposal with it? Not bent out of shape at all though. My asseration of the MLS stands.
Your posts dont make any sense. Did you not read the article? He tried getting the Penguins many years ago and was a serious candidate to get the Coyotes if they didn't get their arena deal figured out. I think its safe to say that Vulcan and the Blazers will try again and seem to be more serious than ever about getting a team.
I support the Winterhawks as they have a legacy in Portland. They are the 2013 WHL champions, and 2011, 2012, 2013 Western Conference champions. NHL is a far stretch here in Portland.
Well if Paul Allen is like any normal male, striking out twice on potentially buying something should drive his desire to own one even higher. Especially since he's a billionaire who is used to getting what he wants. Also remember that the guy that owns the Winterhawks wants to bring an NHL team to Portland too and has been pretty active in trying to buy one.
