I think we should make a thread where win or lose, everyone can write how they feel about their team's performance that week. For example, even though the Lions lost this week, I can sence change in the entire organization. The defense and special teams played amazing against the NFC champions, and shut the MVP down. The offense wasn't too fluent yet, but give it time. Mike Martz has alot of talent to work with, and I think that when everyone learns the new offense, and if the defense plays as hard as they did on Sunday, that the Lions could be a suprise team this season.
I'll write about the Eagles here. I was very impressed and happy about Donovan McNabb. I know it was the Texans, but he was pressured quite a bit actually, and threw dead-on bullets down-field. I was also impressed with Stallworth. He and Reggie Brown have shown to me that they can take on the starting WR load for now. Stalloworth was running great routes and catching everything downfield. Brown got that TD pass which was awesome. Our offensive-line didnt do a great job. Alot of times Westbrook didnt have any holes, and McNabb was pressured quite a bit, BY THE TEXANS! Defensive backfield did a good job as expected. A few mistakes on the running defense though. We really have to improve our LB core. Trotter is the only stud LB we have right now. Also, a few times David Carr had a ton of room to run. We need to stop that. I was impressed with Kearse. He had one sack where he just completely blew by the O-Lineman and sacked David Carr. Also, rookie Trent Cole got 2 sacks last game, and did a good job alsK, well thats my conclusion for now. It was a decent game, though I would have liked to see us pound the Texans hard up the ass. We really did come back strong in the 2nd half, which was good. We start the NFL season 1-0 which is what matters, really.
Well I called into the Huge Show this past weekend. (A show where some smartass guy goes onto the radio and talks football) Anyway, I called in and asked if I could comment. I did, and I told him that Kevin Jones will be the next Barry Sanders. (Obviously sarcastic). The man went ballistic, and I could hear it on radio.

Donovan McNabb had soooooo much time in the pocket because of the o-line. The only time you would see McNabb pressured is if they blitzed, and you can't stop the blitz everytime. Luckily we have a mobile QB who can evade those tackles. We have a deep, young o-line and I think the game showed a lot of promise with them. Our o-line is going to dominate in a couple years/next year.
