<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Deion Branch holdout is over, but Branch isn?t returning to the Patriots. Branch, the fifth-year receiver, has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a first-round draft choice today. The 5-foot-9, 193-pound Branch was entering the final year of the five-year contract he signed as a rookie in 2002. Unhappy with that deal, he held out of training camp. Then, in late August, the Patriots gave Branch permission to negotiate with other clubs, and the Seahawks and Jets made contract offers. But a trade with New England couldn?t be consummated by the Patriots? imposed deadline of Sept. 1 and Branch remained with the Patriots.Branch and his representatives then filed two grievances against the club. The grievances hadn?t been heard before today?s trade.</div>From the Boston Globe and reported by ESPN. What are yout thoughts on this deal?

Well Seattle's offense just got that much better. Now Hasselbek has a top tier reciever to throw the ball to. This is a solid deal for New England too, First Round picks are always very valuble, and Tom Brady will find a new reciever to turn into his primary option.

Deion Branch is a good reciever but not an 'A' reciever...I hope Seattle doesn't overpay for him. Good move for both teams although The Patriots are taking a temporary hit. The 1st rounder helps.

Alright this is awesome, he is now probably the #1 receiver and he is on my fantasy team.

He still has two other great recievers to share the ball with, in Nate Burleson and Darrell Jackson.Anyways, great move by the Patriots. They had an oppertunity to trade him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick, but smartly held their ground and waited it out, getting a 1st Rounder. Honestly though, I don't know about this deal for Seattle, like I said they already had two great WRs and a 1st Round Pick is big money to pay, but this definitely is gonna make their offense just that much scarier.

Good move. The Seahawks needed more stud recievers in my eyes.

It helps both teams, but Seattle wasn't smart to trade a first rounder. This is the last chance to win it for Seattle though, then it will probably be back to rebuilding. Good move by Pats.
