Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod Irrelevant. He jumped Zimmerman and got him in a position where Zimmerman feared he would be killed. Having your head smashed on concrete is not a good look.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod Of course he is. He killed a black guy. He's not just white, he's a white Hispanic!
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod ..... Lol, no it wasn't. Being found not guilty does not automatically mean it was proven that Trayvon would have killed him.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod Bottom line, if George Zimmerman would have been black or Trayvon Martin anything else other than black, no charges would have ever been brought.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod If they agree that George Zimmerman shot him in self defense, then they confirm the narrative that if Trayvon wasn't shot Zimmerman would have lost his life or gravely injured.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod You can believe that George Zimmerman wasn't in grave danger, but there's not enough evidence to prove it. That really seems to be the case here. There's just no evidence. The only "evidence" is George Zimmerman's obviously biased account of what happened. He got to hide behind the law and blast a kid away without suffering any major injuries. It's gross.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod Not so sure about that, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/19/marissa-alexander-gets-20_n_1530035.html
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod You really think after the police declined to bring charges, that if the colors were different, the state would have stepped up? We'll agree to disagree.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod if zimmerman had been black and travon had been white? waaaay different outcome.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod Yeah, wouldn't have even gotten to trial at all. If some responsible sounding black guy who was a neighborhood watch patrolman shot some white kid he said attacked him? it would have been open and shut self defense, no trial.
Re: Zimmerman Case - Lightening Rod The outcome would have been the same (a free man), but there would have been no trial.
