The trouble is he weighs in when he should use the opportunity as a teaching moment. Instead he fans the flames.

    Like:
When a guy is fumbling about looking out of place, you should Thank the police officer for his diligences in protecting your property instead of raising all bully hell about him picking on you because of your race.

There are neighborhood watches all over this country. When one is is doing his duty for his community, you shouldn't go kick his azz just because he is looking at you and your bigger.
(survival training 101, he might be an armed little guy).

Barack Obama could do some good but so far he hasn't recognized his opportunities.

so so so wait. I just watched that Obama video. Saying "if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon" is an attempt to divide the country on racial lines? To me, he's commiserating with the family and pointing out that this wasn't gang violence, so we as a country shouldn't ignore it.

Yeah I don't see it. He is showing compassion for the family.

Oh and then there is this case... http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/11/justice/florida-stand-ground-sentencing I seriously don't get this one. 20 years, really?

It's what I see. And I'm not at all a fan of the president. But let's be real.

I don't really get the aggressiveness from either side here

The guy should have stayed in his car, but he didn't, and shit happened

The inherent distrust of Zimmerman is perplexing, but this isn't a racist issue, its a sexist issue

    All women jury

yeah..sad to say, that is how you see it. That is an indication of why this country is going down the tubes. The zero information dont care, and those like you who are informed refuse to admit when things are aginst your point of view or political leanings

I think this whole deal is way out of hand. Race should have never been an issue. Ialso question if this case shouldhave ever gone to trial. I believe that it did so only because of the race issue.

Now there are those calling for obama to once again get involved and make this a federal case..come the fuck on..

If the Florida stand your ground law is wrong, well it is up to those in that state to change it

Where were these guys when OJ butchered his x wife and her boyfriend? Oh, wait, that was different

The case went to court because a kid was shot and the law is questionable.

That said, they will make a civil rights case out of this and it should be.

You can't have southern states making laws like this so minorities can be hunted or shot where there are "no witnesses."

Continue the witch hunt I suppose.

And it was a self defense case. Nothing to do with civil rights.

I contend that had this been black on black, white on whit or brown on brown, it is not a national story and would have never recieved political pressure form all corners, NAACP to the whitehouse.

If race is not the issue, how can it be a civil rights case..this is just another diversion

Really Denny? soutern states making laws to hunt down minoriets? I like to think that before oboma, we had come a lot further than that as a nation..

Height has absolutely 0 to do with winning a fight.
