Jonas Valanciunas is looking visibly bigger and stronger as Summer League began for the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

Valanciunas had 23 points and seven rebounds in just over 25 minutes of play.

“I want to get better like always,” said Valanciunas about his Summer League goals. “Every game, every practice, every minute on the court I want to get better. This is the same way.”

This is the first time Valanciunas has participated in Summer League because he was helping Lithuania qualify for the 2012 Olympics.

He is lighting up the summer league but it is an easy gig for a big man with post moves. Guys good enough to compete with him are already in the NBA. Nice to see him take it seriously though.

In other news, his interview with DeMar DeRozan on NBA.com is pretty hilarious. Dunno how JoVa gets away with swearing at the beginning but he sure cracks DD up.
