Zach was MVP of the summer league when we were still playing in that ridiculous Los Angeles pickup league. He was MVP back when nothing was televised. The quality of players has improved drastically since then. The number of teams have also improved. Now it's a sure thing that the lotto picks play in SL, but back then it was mostly just projects and guys who needed a lot of work.

    You're a moderator?

So he can rebound. Woo woo. Do you know how many guys who go undrafted could do that? Like Malcolm Thomas, for example.

It's not just his rebounding, dude. For someone who claims to watch so much bball, I figured you'd get the other nuances of the game. Look at how he hedges on D, and finds cutters and sets screens. The guy knows how to ball. Just needs to channel his energy and play to his strengths. I saw someone compare him to Ben Wallace and I can totally see that.

What exactly were you expecting from the guy? 30 points? He got 12 and 18. I think that's pretty good for a second year power forward playing in a league that favors guards. I guess we'll have to see how he does during the regular season, because the guys who go undrafted won't be grabbing 18 boards against actual NBA players.

I'm thinking Brian Grant. He just needs to work on his mid-range game. If he could knock down a jumper from 12-15 feet I would be psyched.

He is also very athletic and runs the floor very well.

Okay, but you can also acknowledge that he's a turnover machine who tries to score just about every time he gets the ball. He wouldn't last 20 mpg because he'd foul out. Many more people have compared him to Reggie Evans, and I can totally see THAT.

I'd be stoked if he turned out like Evans too!

If only this wasn't his rookie year and he'd in fact played an entire season. Where his coaches gave him minutes at first, but then gave up on him.

    Oh wait, that actually happened.

But of course that was just because those other teams were stupid and misused him/didn't realize his greatness.

Check the minutes that Evans plays.

I don't care about "20 minutes". I want quality minutes. Like when he's on the floor; he's actually contributing. I suspect Aldridge will be eating a ton of PF minutes. We just need a player to give him a rest.

You must be joking. Our playmaker and best clutch shooter McCollum shocks Claver by passing to him with 4 seconds left in the game. Claver is 25 feet from the basket, has 2 Bulls on him, is about 7 feet tall, and it's CLAVER WHO LOST TRACK OF THE CLOCK????? Are you guys fucking nuts????

There are players who put up big numbers but never seem to stick with teams. Jerome "Junk Yard Dog" Williams, Pops Mensah-Bonsu are two examples that spring to mind, but Reggie Evans also had that for years. They could all rebound like crazy, so why, I wondered, did they never stick. My guess is that they just can't remember plays or get confused easily. Right now T-Rob is heading down that route. He's obviously a great guy and plays super-hard, and we need a rebounder in the worst way, so maybe he'll stick with us, and maybe he'll look better after training camp. We'll see. But he sure looks like a chicken with his head cut off on offense.

Onuaku just had 12 rebounds and 13 points in 20 minutes. Let's see what it gets him. His rebounding rate is insane. AND he can play center. I wonder if the Suns have him locked up.

If only they could recognize how superior your talent-rating skills are to anybody they employ. Perhaps you should let them know.

Remind me again who they were playing ahead of him at PF last year?

I don't think anybody is saying he's playing great offense or expecting him to carry the offensive load during the regular season.
