Here's my listnot in chronological order)1) Kobe Bryant - I just love his mindset coming into every game, his killer attitude, etc. People still hate on him at my school because of the rape case. What a weak reason. :thumbdn1: People still call him selfish but if Kobe wasnt' selfish then the Lakers sure as hell wouldnt have made the playoffs this past season. 2) Ron Artest - This is the guy that supposedly started the 'worst fight/brawl in NBA history'. People look at that horrible event in the wrong way. Artest did go crazy, but Ben Wallace should have been supsended for more than 6 games. He started the whole thing, and that foul that Artest made on Big Ben was NOTHING for a flagrant foul. Big Ben overreacted, simple as that. There was less than a minute in the game, no reason to start sh*t at that point of the game. I also like Ron-Ron because of his defensive lockdown play. He completely SMOTHERS his man. This guy defines what REAL DEFENSE is. Not to mention he turned around the Kings and got them into the playoffs right when he arrived in Sacramento. 3) Chris Webber - Yeah, he's not the same CWebb in his Kings days. But, he can still make a BIG impact at 30 years old. All Philly fans want him to be traded instead of AI, but look what he does out there on the court. He's a great passer for a PF, and he knows how to move in the paint for points and rebounds. Those knees may be down, but his game definitely isnt.
Ron Artest is the biggest one for me. I'm one of the very few fence-sitters with kobe. I'm not necessarily a fan of his, but I don't hate on him.
Ben Wallace pushed him...okay...it's not right and he deserved a suspension...but more than 6 games for pushing a player? Whatever Ron Artest did after that happened had nothing to do with Ben Wallace.
Ben Wallace started the entire thing. if he didn't react on a small foul with less than a minute left in a blowout, NONE of this would've happened. He should've gotten way more than 6 games if Ron Artest got an entire season. and honestly, how would you feel if someone throws a BEER on you from the stands whil you're just sitting there? I probably would've reacted the same way.
1. Ron Artest- People will always mention the incident that happen but how many people get his in a face with a cup during a game? 2. Dirk Nowitzki- People use his pass reputation of no defense against him and call him soft. There are many other good players that don't play defense and yet aren't hated on that much.
1) Vince Carter: a lot of people claim that he sucks and that he never brings much to the table. He helped a falling-off New Jersey Nets team get back into the Playoffs. Okay, maybe they didn't reach the Finals like they did back in 02 & 03, but they're still a top 5 team in the NBA, aren't they? Yes, they are. I like VC. He entertains me with his game. He doesn't always have to dunk neither. He entertains me with his style of play. He has grown more mature (in the basketball sense, of course). Instead of always giving us mind-blowing, eye-popping highlights, Vincanity has become a real basketball player. Win first-highlights later.2) Kobe Bryant: The man is great. He proved he is great over this past season. He outscored the Dallas Mavericks in the third quarter, 61-60 or somewhere down those lines... (I can't remember correctly). He scored 81 points to help secure a victory over the Toronto Raptors when his team was down by 18 points. Doug Collins stated, "Anything Kobe does, he gets picked on for. He can do the most remarkable things, but people will still claim that he's not as good as he is." He said that at the All-Star Weekend in a show, titled "TNT's Next 10 Players". Magic Johnson, Ernie Johnson, Kenny "The Jet" Smith, Doug Collins and Charles Barkley were hosting the show, talking about the next ten players who ought to be added to the NBA's Greatest Players list when the next 60 are added or whatnot. Anyway, I agree with Doug Collins on that quote.3) Wilt Chamberlain: Okay, he retired, blah blah blah. R.I.P, Wilt. I mentioned him because I realized that any time anyone speaks about the greatest player ever, they never mention Wilt Chamberlain. What did he not do for the NBA? He scored 100 points in one! He set a 55 rebounds in one game record! He averaged 50.4 ppg. He made NBA basketball interesting. Fans wanted to see the man scored 50 to 60 points a night. He never failed! However, people don't acknowledge his legendary career. I don't want to take anything away from Michael Jordan, but c'mon! Wilt Chamberlain was the first "face of the NBA", but nobody mentions that! You all suck!!!

Ben Wallace- He's hated on by Pacer fans and jealous Detroit Pistons fans who make excuses up to make themselves feel better about Big Ben's departure.

Wow we are idiots for saying that aren't we? Rasheed Wallace is constantly hated on and it is stupid. He is a great player, great leader, and one of the most unselfish big men in the league. He has also recieved awards from the league for his off the court charity events and community service. I hate to see him get a bad reputation over technical fouls.

What a waste of talent.Yes he is a good dunker but not a great player.
Amare. People always saying he is going to be terrible after his knee surgery, but I have faith that he will be a great player and just pick up right where he left off.
1. Kobe BryantHe is the best player in the world right now, and people trash him for that retarded rape case, call him a ballhog, say he's not a leader, overrated, etc. But you know what? That's all plain jealousy. If Kobe Bryant was on their team, they would support him as much as anyone. They find ways to nag on him for every little thing, and none of it is necessary, and Kobe doesn't deserve that. People say Kobe is overrated and that he never would have won a ring without Shaq, well Shaq couldn't have done it without Kobe either. People say he's not a leader, he is. He is a great motivator and he is a guy for everyone to look up to on the basketball court. Kobe gets so much undeserved nonsense, it's not even funny.2. Ron ArtestOK, the guy has a couple loose screws. But he's not a terrible guy. He has issues controlling his anger sometimes, yeah, but look where he is from. He was actually doing VERY well until the whole brawl happened, and I'm not even going to get into the brawl. People say he's a bad teammate. He is a GOOD teammte. He works hard, he is dedicated, and most importantly - he cares about the game. A lot of guys play for the money. Sure, Artest gets his cash too, but he loves the game. Also, I mean Artest is a great all-around player, and easily a top 3 perimiter defender in the NBA - with an offensive game. He's tough as nails, enjoys playing defense (rare nowadays), he can shoot and post up, he's unselfish, and he just wants to win.EDIT: I can't believe I forgot to write about Toine.3. Antoine WalkerToine's "bashing crew" has cooled off a lot in the past few years (basically ever since he left Boston), but it's still too much. People still try to put all the blame on Antoine's shoulders. It was like that in Boston, and it got better as the years went on but he gets in now and then in Miami. Sure, it's inarguable that he gets too 3-point happy sometimes, and yeah he will mess up a fast break with a turnover that makes you ask yourself "wtf was Toine thinking?" But he's a very good all around player, and a great person. His leadership level is off the charts, he's an exceptional motivator (on many occassions), and he's a great person. He's always doing charity things and doing great things for the community/kids. He loves people, and despit the fact you may dislike his game, you have to like Antoine Walker the person. He's very caring, very loyal, and he has a great personality. Now to the basketball part - he may shoot too many from deep, but he can shoot from out there, he can drive and use his ballhandling to his advantage and take it to the basket, he has an underrated post game (that was just never utilized well due to poor coaching/management early in his career), he's an excellent passer, he is unselfish, he's clutch, and he has the heart of a lion. I love Antoine Walker the person and the player, and I believe he takes waaaay too much heat.
And to add onto the Artest argument. He is also an underrated passer. He was instantly making the Kings offense run more smoothly than they had before. No way USA loses with Artest in that lineup.

They won't let him because of his history with anger problems, and I think that sucks because I think he has changed. I don't see him ever doing anything very extreme again. He'll keep his cool from now on because he wants to play the game, and he wants to win. If anything, playing for team USA would be good for him.
Well, I'm a Nets fan, and of course there are a lot of Vince Carter haters, so it seems.Or maybe it's just me.

When he stops making the all-star game and doesn't make the all defensive team then you can talk. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rasheed Wallace is constantly hated on and it is stupid. If putting up fifteen points a game makes you a great player then the Chicago Bulls have Luol Deng,Andres Nocioni,Kirk Hinrich, and Ben Gordon. He sure is a great leader. Especially when he averaged 10 ppg in the Eastern Conference Finals and got hammered by the Miami Heat. 10 ppg when the championship is on the line is leading your team right? It's funny because Nocioni,Gordon,Hinrich, and Deng all averaged more ppg against the Miami Heat so that's what you call your "great leader, great player, and great scorer?" I also loved when he "guaransheeded" a victory and lost. Priceless. You have made me really dislike the Pistons and I had some respect for Richard Hamilton and Chauncey Billups but your jealousy and biased attitude has made me lose all respect for the Pistons.
